Questions are good. Answers are better.
Whereas other internet service providers may boast a cheaper monthly rate, Tsunami Fiber's boast is our unwavering commitment to providing the highest level of internet reliability, personalized 24/7 customer service, and an ongoing commitment to supporting education and community growth in the areas where our service is available.
So, if another company is charging 10-15% or even 20% less for what seems like the same service, you must ask yourself what happens when there is a problem? What are their response times? Can you speak directly with a customer service representative? Historically, from what you know or can find out, how much do they oversubscribe their service and how does that affect the speed and reliability you receive, especially during peak times? If you work from home, or if you and/or your children learn or study at home, and your internet goes out, what is the cost? Is it worth the savings not to be able to work, communicate, learn, and connect?
Should you decide to purchase anything 'tech' based solely on the lowest price, it is critical to know exactly what you are receiving in exchange. Why do people pay a premium for phones, laptops, tablets, and headphones? In the high tech world, if something seems too good to be true, it usually is. Good tech comes at a price, but in the end, it also outperforms cheap tech.
Our goal is to offer competitive rates and provide a reliable service that is valuable to both our clients as well as the communities we serve.

Our goal is to make bill payment as convenient as possible. With Tsunami Fiber, you may pay your monthly invoice either online with your debit or credit card, via bank transfer, or through a cash payment at any our registered payment locations (such as OXXO).
Our goal has been and always will be to provide our clients with fast and reliable internet access, so much so that one never feels the need to run a speed test (as speed tests are generally run when there is a perceived problem by the client). To better understand internet speeds, it is important to know that there are 2 types of internet service available in the world to clients: Best-Effort and Dedicated Internet Access (DIA).
Best-Effort is what the overwhelming majority of the population of the world uses and most likely is what you have in your home right now. This can also be understood as shared internet. All internet companies offer (best-effort/shared) internet packages with an upper limit of what the top speed will be.
For example, let's say that an ISP quotes a speed of 50Mbps. This means that the client is paying to receive up to 50Mbps at any given time. It is not a guaranteed speed. It is actually a limit of speed allowed. It is called best-effort because companies are said to do their best to provide the fastest and most reliable internet they can up to that 50Mbps quoted speed.
So the question then comes down to oversubscription. How many clients will an internet company sell their internet service to without adding more bandwidth? Past behavior is indicative of future behavior. In other words, if your Internet Service Provider is known for drastically overselling their lines in the past, the fact that they have a new tool (fiber optic) does not mean that their practices will change.
The second type of internet service is called Dedicated Internet Access or DIA for short. Dedicated Internet packages are not shared. When a client purchases DIA, it is reserved only for them to use. For this reason, it is quite a bit more expensive, but also much more reliable. No matter how many people are on the best-effort/shared internet lines, it does not affect the speed of the DIA client. Shared clients cannot use the bandwidth of the DIA client. In addition, the benefits of the DIA package are contractual and spell out exactly what speeds the client can expect, what response and resolution times, and what internet availability percentages. This is the premium level of internet access.
